I use use Interparcel.com for diffs - costs around Ԛ£30. Package in a box with polystyrene packed tightly around the diff, with the box well taped.

Good points! I have already drained and checked the filler plug for obvious reasons but forgot about warning stickers saying NO OIL. Deal not finalised yet so we will see.

Parcelforce 24 hour up to 30Kg for Ԛ£10 or at least that's what it costs me on account and I have sent one recently so the weight and size is ok. You can log on to parcelforce as a "one off" and organise it online. Worth a try.

Right guys. Thanks again. I used the interparcel link. Boxed up it weighed 40KG. £26+VAT fro Glasgow to Surrey. Booked yesterday and given a 2 hr window of collection. Came just now with 40 minutes to spare so no T time pub time is missed. I reckon that is good service in that you don't have to hang about all day. Opens up loads of new possibilities for stuff I never thought I could "post". :D
