heard theres not to many to choose from, when i had alook about a year ago i think it was supersprint and remus iirc but the super sprint was mild steel, it does sound nice though only sligthly louder than standard. i spoke to powerflow at the time who said they could make a full system for around Ԛ£350 in stainless. if that helps?

if your looking to mod your car i would recomend an ITG filter from the zone shop nice noise, better responce and a bit more go up top. :D

there doesnt seem to be a lot of choice when it comes to the iS. i know im struggling to find one that will suit my engine once its been rebuilt, so im thinking of having a complete system made by Ashley

yeah, there does seem to be very little out there, and even less you could call perfomance, you can change the noise but the worst this is putting one on that means you loose performance which peeps on here have often reported.

if you want performance gains on the iS there are better ways.

If you want to improve the sound, depends on what you want but I have the sebring back box on mine and I like the sound, nice burbble to it! but not the cheapest option mind!

I have a scorpion DTM stainless on mine. The only problem with this is that Scorpion didn't make an exhaust for the Is? 8O

It was on the car when I bought it and sounds really good, the only thing that I don't like about it is the twin DTM style Tips they look to big ( to chavvy for a 4pot ) for me.
I was thinking of replacing it with something else, maybe even go back to standard. Don't really have the cash at the moment.

The other thing that I have to consider is what has been "adapted to make the Scorpion setup fit and the time to correct things.

I've got this one :-

http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/ ... category=1

Not too loud around town but does seem to add a bit of a sporty note.

No idea of any performance gains but maybe???

wiledw, does than mean your car has a CAT and you left it on? I'm wondering if taking the CAT off will lead to more power and help the engine breath a bit? Anyone done this?

appletree, did the Powerflow full system avoid using a CAT? My garage tells me I can ditch the CAT and this might give an extra 5 hp. I would have thought it must help :?:

Cat is currently on but i am considering removing it. More than likely there is an increase in performnce from the system but i don't want to sound like a saxo boy claiming a 100bhp increase when i have ZERO solid proof. Any ideas on a supplier for a by-pass pipe?

Full powerflow stainless on mine,no cat seems to rev a bit more freely compared to my old IS with standard system.

The fit and finsh is total sh1t though-I'm glad it was on the car because if I ahd paid for it I would have spat my dummy! Far too loud-single 3" oval tailpipe looks nice but rest of system is covered in dents from it hitting the floor all the time-mainly coz the centre box is too big

Bad news about the Powerflow :( , as was interested in one of those.

My local specialist garage said he could source a not CAT exhaust no problem, but i assume this would be a normal exhaust, not a performance exhaust. Would be nice to have something which sounds more sporty.

Yes, I'm not sure mine does either. On BP's 318is website, he talks about Cats and I assumed mine would have one as it's a late version. However, it may not

That's a very nice iS Appletree, why don't you drive it on the road too? Don't tell me you're uncer 17 and have to drive it round the garden

Is the paint original? I see the skirts are all red - mine has a bit or black at the bottom.

I just ordered the one Wiledw posted up.

If you look at this link.......

http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/ ... ?id=172096

the front section in white is the bit they dont do. The large white box apparently is the cat. I looked at mine underneath prior to ordering and its identical to the pic.

No stock though in this country so its coming direct from Sweden. Ԛ£158 + Ԛ£11 postage. :D

Are you sure your going to actually get one?

Jetex in Sweden do not have any stock whatso ever. I asked Jetex UK and they said that until Jetex Sweden get an order for 25 exhausts they son't make any......so you could be waiting for a very very long time!

This is the sole reason I have not got the exhaust on the e30zone Shop.

I have spoken to them about getting 25 made in stainless steel at a reduced price but that's if we can conjour up 25 people to commit.

I should have a price by tommorrow.

I just don't think 25 iS owners will buy an exhaust at the same time.

Thanks for the info Sal. I have just recieved this mail from Europerformance......

Hi Ian
Jetex have contacted us regarding your order this morning just to say that there is a delay in the manufacture of your exhaust system. The batch of exhausts due to be dispatched soon has been delayed and there is currently no delivery date when they will be arriving in the U.K. I am sorry for the inconvenience we can change the order over to an alternative system if you wish. Please contact us and let us know what you would like to do.

Sounds like your right mate.

I am getting fairly desperate for one as well!

Going to ring Powerflow in morning and price one up to be made. :(

Definately go for powerflow I have full custom set up on the e36. Beautiful noise and noticeable performance so bet it would compliment the 318is pukka.

There has been a lot of talk about replacements from Jetex, Powerflow etc., is there anything particularly wrong with those offered by GSF or EuroCarParts, or BMW for that matter?
