is it right that you can tell a sport lsd dif by an S prefix on the casing.

or are they available without the S on the casing

All LSDs will have an 'S' on the tag. I think its S and then the number.

The S will not be on the casing.

The S appears before the ratio on the metal tag hanging from one of the bolts on the rear of the diff, and there is also a large S painted on the base of the diff, often worn away though.

I have had complete morons try and sell me a car 'with an LSD' one of the first things to check, always funny to see the losers face when you break the news to them. Not that I'm saying this is what you are planning.....
