as far as im lead to beleive all 325i should have battery in the boot where as the 320 has the battery under the bonnet like your car in pic. my b25 powered 320 had the battery under the bonnet but i just relocated it as im in the middle of putting a fresh engine in so im doing it right this time as the person before me only done half a job

I'd get your mate to get his engine checked too - no way will a 320i keep up with a 325i.
btw where about's in Ayrshire are you from mate?

my 325 has the battery under the bonnet, unless tourings are different again?i thought it was just the sports that had the battery in the boot?get it rolling roaded for a power figure, that will give you a definative answer.jamesh1977 wrote:as far as im lead to beleive all 325i should have battery in the boot where as the 320 has the battery under the bonnet like your car in pic.

looks like a 320 inlet manifold to me as im sure the 325 manifold is more rounder where as the 320 manifold has more sqourer on the angles (im sure i also read this in anouther thread somewhere) also its possible someone has added a 325i throttle body ect to give it a bit more get up and go as i have driven a couple of fairly quick 320i e30s that suprised me.
