My C2 2.5 is going to need a new (ahem) "'zorst" soon. Actually it needs one now, but...

It currently has a standard 325i exhaust on (3-piece), any recommendations for a replacement gratefully received, also advice on where to get hold of them - Manchester area.

Off you go... winkeye

We are currently working on a new exhaust with a very reputable company (not BTB- who are excellent).

Just hang on for a little while or find a cheap 2nd hand exhaust in the mean time.

The magic of Halfords Exhaust repair bandage is my temporary solution - hoping that will suffice for now (thanks anyway Simon).

It's having a new fuel tank fitted tomorrow, so all depends on what outargeous labour charges I get stuck with.

I'll keep my eye on the Zone shop for that, Mr. Pilot Sir. winkeye

Well, that failed miserably. :?

Incidentally, it seems to be a 2-piece job (which was 88> I believe...) does it matter (car is pre-facelift)?

Whats this exhaust then sal? Would it be worth getting over what you said yesterday if you decide to sell it on the shop?

Let me find out a bit more about these exhausts first. I dont even know what they are going to cost.

I'll probably test one out on a car, see what its like and sounds like and then get the opinions of a few people who are very analytical about these things.

Hopefully give you guys an update tommorrow.

If you're replacing the whole system (apart from the manifold), you can swap between 2 & 3 piece systems with no problems. The only thing to be aware of is that there are 2 sizes of manifold flange, so you need to make sure your front section will fit your manifold. :thumb:
