I read in the paper today that a lot more girls are getting into cars and not just the buying/posing site but the mechanical side as well

Hows this any differnt? Anyone who thinks a standard sport feels quicker than a skyline, and lifts off about a meter is either on drugs, or knows sh*t all about cars.

nah, only kidding mate

remember speedos can get quite inacurate when they gett to that sort of speed so the indicated 140 might only be about 125/130

another thought on the original post, maybe shes using her boyfriends exagerated(spelling?)measuring technique "if he says thats 7 inches then this must be about half a metre. check your suspension though, maybe someones removed your shocks and its just running on the springs :D

Welcome to the Zone Ceri. Enjoy the car, it looks clean :thumb:
Just be careful with it - RWD can catch you out if youre not used to it, and the 325is can get a bit tail happy, especially in the wet winkeye

Well with the 3.91 LSD, 140mph in 4th will be about 7500-7700rpm 8O
The 3.25 diff from the M3 will have it down to about 6500rpm, but as was said earlier, the acceleration will be pretty poor.

jmc330i I was thinking more along the lines of the diff internals from an E36 316, It would have the wrong number of fins for the speed sensor and would be a lot easier and cheaper to find than an LSD for an E30 :?

6000 for a rebuitl!

welcome btw! :) damn u are one lucky fool! cant believe im gonna have to admit getting beaten by a girl.

suppose with turbo maybe ok? (i think you should post a topic in engine section of forum about this before you do it,,, to many stories of people ripping people off  )

and that is a cracking price for the insurance! im goin on 20 and still paying 1500 under dads name (3G's undermyself!) and its not for a 325... they wouldnt touch me with a barge pole on one of them!

i cant see the car lifting, but yes it will feel it cos its got grunt.

u sure u want to go for the turbo route? 2.7 route alot cheaper ?

btw black leathers all the way.

u sound like the perfect girl, getting rid of the "typical" girly car, and going for a real car... if only all girls appreciated the old skool kool factor.

respect winkeye

This is the most ridiculous thread I have ever seen on any forum. 18yr old girl, with a 325i sport as her first car is fair enough, and vaguely believable. The fact that is being rebuilt to the tune of over £6000 with a turbo on it when she has had it like a week is not. I refuse to believe any of this rubbish, also how do you re-leather cloth trim? :bs:

Are we all doubting thomas's?

ok its hard to believe... but then again why would ANY 18 year old girl want to lie about this.... that would be rather sad.... infact it could be a 60 year old man who gets thrills pretending hes a teenage girl and was hoping for loads of attention from us randy fellas. which obviously is not the case...

anyway i dont think its too hard to believe, u get all kinds now adays, she obviously has alot of cash, or her parents do i should say, (prove me wrong??)

but anyway not our job to make accusations. lyers will be shown eventually. :)

good luck with it ceri! keep us posted!

i am also with the BS group, sorry but i dont belive a word, maybe and i do mean maybe with a turbo and some silly tyres could you get the front end to raise by any significant amount , and by that i mean the suspension squatting at the rear and rasing (an inch or so on knackered shocks) at the front, wheels are impossible without drag slicks and an engine in excess of 700-800hp then box, prop, prepared drag strip etc etc etc......

The fact that the car raises already and she (he) thought it was so fast, in fact faster than a 600hp skyline (also a figure i do not belive in real world cars), then why would she (he) spend another 6 grand on a car that can already wheelie.

the fact that she constantly mentions that she is a girl is also extreamly suspisious, do you know any girl who does that or is it more the writings of a male zoner taking the pi55 pretending to be a girl with a turbo charged wheelieing sport cause he (she) knows from past experience any thread started by someone claiming to be a girl will get hundreds of responses.

i fact that i will prove soon enough by starting my own bullsh1t thread claiming to be i fit bird with a problem.

sorry but prove me wrong, and if i am then my hat i shall eat (and have trouble downloading pictures!)
