E30 0-60 325i Sport approx 7.9/8.0........QTR around 15.9......top speed 135mph

E36 0-60 approx 7.5.............QTR around 15.4.............top speed 146mph.

These are not book figures but on average the times IMHO i think they'll do.

Hope that helps.

the problem with 0-60's etc is that they arent indicative of real world performance.

e30 325i is especially problematic as there are several diff ratios/gearbox options all of which wud affect the 0-60 time.

iirc the tech 1 sport wud just about get under the 7 sec mark btw

I'll check tonight, but I'm sure Autocar (UK) posted 7.4 0-60 and 15.4 or .6 for the quarter for an e30 manual 325i.

19's will only serve to slow him down quite dramatically.. plus look pretty daft imo 8O

The E30 would probably do a worse time with a 3.91LSD as it would require 3 gear changes to achieve 60 mph.

In the real world a good healthy E36 325i would have the edge.

the m50's respond really really well to chipping, way better than E30's do and the gap widens.

I wish the E30 was made with the M50 from factory!

I wouldnt be too worried about 0-60 times if you want 19's - as has been said, they will slow you down a lot and look silly.

You should go onto e36coupe, they will give you better advice on e36's
