wtf.. it was goin for 2500 with 2 days left and he took 1.8k
170bhp is gonna feel like a monster to an 18yr old who's only had a year at most solo piloting
no way in hell is it lifting the front end off the ground tho.. thats funny car/dragstar territory with 3 mile wide slicks
even a 300+bhp cally turbo on a 1/4 mile launch doesnt lift the front end off the ground

I think when he says lifts the front off the ground he's exaggerating slightly and it's just rising on the suspension. I would be interested in the 140mph in 4th gear claim though.
Yeah and taking £1800 when it's on £2500 on ebay or what ever is just fcuking stoopid.

my 1987 318i speedo must be knackered.. showed 140 at one point, full throttle, at the end of a downhill straight after a 2 mile run up! (not kidding)
it does feel like you are taking off when you get a powerful car for the first time though! I remember going WOW! when i went from a 1.0L micra to a 1.6 rover!

Fair point on the lad being in a car with a bit of power for the first time but he says in his first post that he's been in a 615hp Skyline which was not as quick..
Dying for a few pic's of this engine bay......c'mon ceri....don't keep us all hanging

Well, I'm not sure if even a 325i Sport qualifies as a rocketship unless you've been using a pushbike as your exclusive form of transport.
The E30 325 is merely brisk. Even E30 M3 is only getting on for being quick imo. But for fast you really need a CSL. That's the only bimmer I've driven that startled me in terms of winding it up - and that was mainly the noise.
A 600bhp Skyline will rearrange your internal organs and need a helicopter to keep up.

Looks like a good buy for 1800! Well done, as for the motor looks stock, but cleaned up. With cars being well over 10 years old and no history though, who knows what could have been done to it. Certainly wouldn't be much over the 200hp mark though.
Don't forget that these cars are pretty light by comparison to modern cars, and 'feel' a lot quicker than they actually are.

even with 800bhp they dont lift the wheels.
the only posibility is someone made your car into a wheely machine by completely redesigning the rear suspension set up. this is possible even with low powered cars i have seen it.
but this is extremely unlikely.
my mates HQ monaro (aussie 70's muscle car for u foreigners) lifts one wheels about two inchs on full gas off the line. this has an over the top 5.7 ltr V8 and fairly soft suspension.
your car does not do wheelies just admit it. would be cool tho.
