thats right they never give up. shes from the school of hard knocks. shes gonna have another year on the road, shes 16 1st of august! i bet there are many 325's that wont pass this year
104,000 and still refuses to throw in the towel. what a car.......

When I had my 17yr old 320i (Last year) it passed my first MOT with it first time, with 112,000 miles on the clock.
I gave it no mercy around the 'ring and Cadwell Park and sold it for a profit. Cheap, reliable, fun motoring!

I don't consider this in the least bit remarkable. This is a BMW E30 we're talking about.PaulyV wrote:Ten times! Congratulations!

The car has only ever had normal servicing, several front discs and pads, a couple of sets of rear discs, two sets of front control arms and bushes, a power steering rack, no welding, just underseal and paint tidied up when necessary.
Diff was changed 15,000 miles ago because it was whining a bit, and I wanted to reduce cruising revs a bit with a diff I had in stock.
Rear beam bushes were changed at the same time as
the diff, along with the rear brake lines.
Biggest change was 20,000 miles ago when the head cracked. I had a 325 engine in stock with a recent rebuild and new head, so I stuck that in complete. The old engine was stripped and checked. Everything was within new spec, except for wear in the exhaust valve guides.
I can see no reason why this car shoildn't do the same again.

my 525 is touching 276000miles. engine sweet as a nut but autobox is pooh. brian, i dont suppose you have a gearbox that will fit an M50? must be for a 5 series though.
My 320 got through its MOT this morning with one advisory, slightly corroded rear brake lines, Its done 146000 miles and this is the fourth year in a row its gone straight through. Bought it 5 years ago for 700 quid and have spent about 200 quid on consumables. Well chuffed,I just wish it was a 325 or 318is. Never mind ,you can't have your cake and eat it, as they say (whatever that means lol)

iv been looking around for a 320is and no joy as of yet. so u guess a 325i will have to do for now. i should be able to get a gooden for £2000. i should make my mind up really. but one thing's for sure it will be an e30.
