This is a fantastic thread.
If something can be done I'm sure alot of people will be very interested.
I have been looking into getting some kits but not found anything thats really what I would consider "affordable".
Excellent stuff and I hope something materialises from this.

You obviously have not been looking hard enough!
I found a kit for Ԛ£340 and it will fit under the stock Alpina Wheels and uses E46 328i callipers! 308*25mm

But then again i dont know shit and copy from books.

Look, take your personal fights away from this forum you stupid boy.
We are trying to talk about brakes and not cuss each other all the time.
If you knew about this conversion why didnt you talk about it before? Or didnt you want others to have it because they'd be one up on you?

Quite a few people have 16's and 17's so any info on this would be very good.
Those discs looks awesome under those wheels.

I can appreciate your frustrations over the small disks on a e30 and running stock 15" wheels but if you want bigger disks/better brakes then you will need to Upgrade to 16" or even 17" if you want 315mm disks.oze30 wrote:stock alpina wheels.. Arent they 16's?? So no real benefit to the guys not wanting to run 15's!
Anymore details on that kit demlot?
There is a kit that will work in a 15" BBS but i cant find the link now.
Soon as I can work out more details of this kit then will let you know.

I've been on day off today so i've only got a bit of second hand info, i'll see how much they are offering tomorrow.
I hate changing jobs
Hope you're on of the lucky ones and don't get the chop.

just to add, was out in daves touring the other day, well impressed with the brake conversion, much more responsive than standard. once i need new brakes ill definatly go for the bigger callipers and discs.
