Is there a part number for the front sump, I have seen a sump on eBay 1995 e34 but not sure if it fits m52

Thanks its not the same, can't find one for less than 450, on the plus side I got 2 sets of engine arms for less than the price of 1 set

Unfortunately as these things have got rarer and no real alternative prices for some bits took a real hike through covid lockdown. Price has softened for many things bit not for everything. If you can wait, sometimes they do turn up but most know what they are in demand.

If you think E30 prices are high just try Escort E9 or 911 parts 8O

I have just seen for sale a modified front subframe that means you can use rear facing sump, has anybody any experience with these

So reading that advert I need a different oil pick up as I think mine is m52tub28

Is this correct

No that is an M30 big six sump. you need one from the M50

Not sure what pickup the M52TU has but you can see what the M54 takes in the thread below. They are a similar engine and may have a similar oil pump, not sure. When you have the sump off the M52TU compare the oil pump to the M54 here

For a TU or M54 engine you need the pickup from an E38 728i M52B28TU
