Hey I’ve been looking at diffs for sale because I have one I’ll be selling soon...
mine is a small case from a manual 316i
The only small case on eBay is a 3.91 welded one for over £500!!!......
There is a small case casing only for £130....
There aren’t any other small case diffs for sale on there
All the mediums case with the longer gears are £150-£300
What’s the value of my diff!??
Also there aren’t any rear disc trailing arms for sale ANYWHERE..... what’s the value of those now?
As this 316i I have came with abs and rear discs from factory
Any help greatly appreciated
What’s the deal with diffs??

People have lost the plot with the 'value's and most importantly their 'asking prices'. They dream up all sorts of BS to justify it and it's comedy. The ratio has an impact on the value as some are rarer and more useful than others. Small case in general aren't that desireable as they're not much use in anything with a decent running gear in them, but expect it to be worth in the region of £100 if in good condition inside.
Rear trailing arms sell from £100 to £200 a pair again depending on condition, whether the calipers and carriers are present etc.
