Hi zone.

Looking at getting an outdoor cover for my touring quite soon. Was wondering if anyone here has any advice on what I should be aware of when shopping or any recommendations of specific covers.

Cheers.

I would probably avoid to be honest. Car covers can trap in moisture meaning it’s wet all the time. As long as your drains on the car are clear shouldn’t be an issue leaving it out. Just got to wash it often!

Took the plunge on one since they're running a blog at the moment where they're demonstrating on an E30 cab. They seem to bring up the breathability of the fabric as a solution to the problem of condensation. Think the best course of action will just be lifting it often.

Only decided to go for one since there seems to be a rust problem on the boot lid around the rear lights and numberplate. I don't really feel comfortable leaving it out in the rain until I can get it sorted by a bodyshop so I think the cover should be an improvement over leaving it outdoors.

At any rate I'll see how it does over the next few days with the weather being how it is.
