Hello, After you do engine swap, how will you call your car ?

Example, if you have e30 320 and you will swap b25, will call it e30 325 or just 320 ?

How about if you have e30 316 and do m54b30 swap, will you call it e30 with 3 liter ?

Just curious cause some people will use original name of the model even its swapped and some people will call it as new name.

Better to keep calling it a 316 and then smoke your mates at the red lights

:D I never called my M50 swapped 325i anything. It was too much fun to drive to stop and think about it.

As far as official stuff goes, it stays as it left the factory.
"320i" is a model name used by BMW, just as "Mondeo" was used by Ford. By an intentional coincidence, 320i references the model type and its engine capacity, but its still just a model name.
