Hi All..just joined.... I am searching for the lower window trim / seal for the boot window on a touring. Mine does not go to each end...falls about 30mm short both sides.... Or in fact is that correct and there are 90 degree filler seals that cover the gap ? Anyone ?
Cheers

Mines like this too, apparently they shrink over time. Bmw might still do them to be honest

After replacing a few of these during the course of my ownership I eventually sussed that it was worth buying the trim in advance, not cutting it to size but leaving it outside for a (long) time to pre-shrink it before fitting.

Thanks guys for comments...I thought it would be weird to have extra 90's to fill gap...I'll get a new one and "age" accordingly

I took one trim from a scrap tailgate, which I have used to cut short bits off and fill the gaps on multiple tourings over the years.

I know at least one zoner who did away with the strip and filled the channel with bitumen. It probably provides a better seal than the strip (which is fairly useless) but I can't imagine it looked good. I bought 2, they're not expensive, fitted one and left the other on the balcony for about a year. By time the first had shrunk the second was nicely cured :) .

Have you tired Pelican Parts? They have all kinds of trim / boots etc.
