This subject will have been talked to death already but it's 2020, many years will have passed since most have already completed their builds and I'd be interested in hearing people's long term experience.

I'm daily driving a 325ix touring in Germany, Love it, wouldn't change it for another car (here comes the but) but I wish it had a bit more... Go. The all wheel drive system does rob some performance.

Has anyone put major miles on a 2.8 stroker or what's the general concensus. Not worth doing, leave it alone or?

*Should say I won't be doing any of the work myself. That would be disastrous.

Thanks in advance.

a 2.8 m20 would give it a nice little bit extra & the fact the engine has been rebuilt (hopefully) with mostly new parts would mean it will still be gong in a good few years when the original m20 would've given up the ghost.

a 2.7 m20 i built when i had my first e30 (tech 1 sport) is still going strong & has done a few trips to the ring.

if built right & well maintained they can last a fair while.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

I would say that I would be more worried about the torque through the transmission as bits are not easy to come by.

But I did see this

And made me think it might be OK with a bit more power :D

There won’t be any tangible loss of durability
