I know you're all about looks dude, but i'd maybe concentrate on "trick" stuff this time-make it look normal, until you're right up close?

maybe make a tech2 spoiler on therear that acts like a porker one (raises up above say 45mph?

Ben

Have you seen the original version of TAXI (french)
Maybe you could do your cab like the 405 in that, looks bog standard then with the flick of a switch hydraulic jacks lift the car off the road and a full boddy kit starts to apear from under the car, its pretty cool but i dont know how you would do it

Geeman you're more than welcome to rent the booty wagon for a couple of days dude. No spoiler this time i promise. Nice and smooth.

You lot make me laugh :D You should all become consultants for the James Bond movies with the whack ideas you come out with. Has any of you even considered the cost implications of your ideas  :D

Maybe when i win the lottery hey. For now all i want is a nice clean smooth E30 cab to enjoy the summer in. Well look at making the kitchen spring out of the boot and wings and a propeler shooting out at the touch of a button later winkeye :D

paulj-its a 406 3.0v6 24v in taxi  , and it kicks ass :D

bootyman-to be honest mate, if i was wanting a cab as a daily driver, i'd be avvoiding the expensive sh*t like the plague.

5k paintjobs and 2k kits are just gonna get beasted in carparks and on the open road.

I think the blue kit has the potential to look extremely good at the front with a slight change. One of the most distinctive features of the E30 front end is the lip bumper that is on all the stock cars, the M-tech 1s and 2s, and M3s.

The lip overhangs the front spoiler slightly, and while on the M3 it kicks forward underneath to meet it, its still a sticking out lip that accents the headlights.

If I were doing one of those, the change I would make would be to cut the two bar shaped bits at the top (white arrows), where they join flush with the top of the bumper, and recess them an inch or two, following the line of the side of the bumper that vanishes (red arrow).

Then some custom lense driving lights inset in the smaller holes to the sides of the main hole.

Then to make it fit in with the E30 front end perfectly, you use black plastic bars, the same thickness, shape and size as the plastic bars in the E30 grill (horizontal ones) in the wide mouth part of the grill.

It would look new, fresh, but very E30 like.

At least thats how I would do it ;)

Come to think of it, I would do the E30 grill bars thing even without moving the two side things. It would tie it in to the grill without being too VW/Audi-ish, direct all attention to it, and look very E30ish.

I reckon use the back german bumper, find other side skirts, and modify the tech 2 front. The most labour intensive :P

Booty do u know how much and where i can find out about air bag suspension really would like that, as i love the look of it slamed but sometimes it is just to much with the crap roads round here,

Also Think u sould do as chu says a Moded Mtec2 kit so looks nice and smooth but still understated.

Ben thanx for the link. All this talk of M-tech and that german making you torn between the 2, I show you a bit of E30 inspiration as some people are liking the rear bumper and diff skirts and not many liking the front bumper maybe this might give you an idea, car has no rear spoiler, if you get the german rear on this baby probably pull it off.

And Ben after much thinking and your advice and stuff, I've gone with that bumper thats on this black cab, just bought it on ebay waiting for it to come now!

Nice one Gouki. I would fill in them holes as well. I love that front bumper. That along with the german rear bumber and maybe a Tech 2 sikrt might just work. Some fantastic suggestions, but i had a long, long think about this last night and i'm going for the German, No, no the Tech2, no the German. Love the Tech 2, but way too common even though they are fantastick looking. I'm going to get the Tech 2 kit on the car sprayed as well and just leave it in the garage. Maybe one day i'll swap them around and have a different looking car winkeye :D

I've seen some interesting threads on this forum, but this has to rank amongst one of the best in my openion for entertainment. I've never been so undecided in my life and just nice to see how other's think :D winkeye
