Track day seating. What's the best value setup.

I have tried searching this forum but I have to say I find it impossible .

I am looking for something relatively budget. Evo 8 or evo 3 or type r seats.

Has anyone got any advice for fitting these to an e30

What kind of rails or Subframes do I need. I'm a total novice when it comes to seating.

Can these be made work relatively cheaply .

Are you still after something that reclines? And are you intending on using harnesses?

At the moment no harness. Just stock seat belt. And I don't care for reclining but it would be nice if it happened to work out that way.

I have seen OMP and garagistic have subframe options that allow a range of seats to bolt in.

Track days, improvements to your roadcar set up which will shave lots of time off your lap times; (Not allowed to time your laps on most track days!!)

1. A bucket seat (without a harness will only make a marginal difference.)
2. Track day tyres. Try some second hand tyres if you want to see the difference.
3. Lose weight rear seats are quite heavy - as is a spare tyre!!

I just need a seat. I hate the existing interior so it's all coming out and a recaro of some description is going in.

Is anyone here making seat brackets?

If you're using standard seats, all you need is a CG Lock. I had heard they were out of production - don't know if that's correct. Beware all cheap track seats are very uncomfortable. More expensive ones are merely uncomfortable.
