Was looking for some body parts online and came across these guys https://www.absmotorsport.co.uk/ .

I've never heard of them, and the only review I could find for them online was a not-so-good one from a mini forum a few years ago. Their website says they build parts for BTCC, and they list quite a few parts for e30's.

Just wondering if anyone has put some of their parts on, how the fitment was, how the quality was, etc.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I don't get on here much anymore.

Ive got one of their singe skin bonnets which was bought through a group buy on here years ago, the bonnet is narrower than original and needed to be block sanded flat on both edges as it looked to have been cut by a drunk man with a pair of scissors when I first dropped it on the front. Not happy with how the bonnet changed shape over the following 12 months either. The bootlid I have is from Martin Hollands which is 10 times better quality so id advise to go to him for panels

Whilst on the topic of bonnets, what are everyone's thoughts on a double skinned fibreglass bonnet;

Will it need additional aerocatches
or
Mount strongly enough with oem mounts.

i,ve got a double skinned bonnet with aerocatches and i,m not 100% but i don,t think oem mount would last 5 mins on the motorway enough flex as it is with oem mount and aerocatches
i.ve brought a alfa romeo boot badge that swivals arround so i can put another fastner of some sort
(after changing the badge of corse)

Ah shame
Was only going to use the fibreglass double skinned bonnet if I could get away without using aerocatches.

Thanks for the info

I’ve been quite happy with the single skin bonnet and boot I had from there to be honest.
