That's pretty smart but a lot of $$ for what it is. There was a thread here years ago about installing a cup holder from a passat. It was a flip out thingy that fitted between the HVAC panel and the centre console and was a very smart mod.aimlessrock wrote:Re cup holder- saw this the other day on YouTube- anyone tried them?

Think I saw that mod as well- that cup holder on YouTube is a little pricey but I like how it's just clip in and non destructive. .. if a few of us got together we could look at a group buy- this may bring the price down. - any thoughts?

Cup holders?! What's wrong with you people, have you become American all of a sudden that you cannot go anywhere without needing a drink or something to eat all the time?
Just drive. If you want a drink, have one before you leave or stop off... Cup holders, my arse!

I've never used a cup holder. Don't understand the attraction.

I don't allow anyone to eat or drink in my cab, or any of my cars, for that matter..!
It's like going shopping and having to wait 30 mins for a coffee at starbucks. It's unnecessary.
Don't even start me on the need to go to the toilet!

You'll probably find we can agree on much more than just cup holders. However, yes they do =
Talking of which, if you really want something useful, just get Ross to kneel on the passenger seat, head down and you have an instant cup/umbrella/small aircraft luggage holder!*
*based on the video clip he sent this morning! (Dan ask him to send it to you).

The toilet point is fair comment and something I had not factored into my thought process. The holder does allow for two bottles- this could be a solution for those who have a bladder the size of a walnut.Gert_8 wrote:I don't allow anyone to eat or drink in my cab, or any of my cars, for that matter..!

What's your take on ashtrays?..do they also suggest a familiarity with an alternative lifestyle

Ashtrays are for old school mugs! Why smoke, when you can Vape.
I was following a car the other day, it looked like it was steam powered.

Slightly iffy glovebox torches - great idea, but they invariably go flat when they're needed most, or disappear behind the centre console.
I have one on my E39 that also doesn't work.

Hehe, check behind your centre console - that's where a lot of them end up, for some odd reason...

The M badge on my grill leads people to assume its an M3 replica - if it was an M3 replica, it would say M3
When I take corners quite quickly the back-rest part of the seat rocks. It turns out a small white clip is broken inside the seat which I can't get hold of.

Dreaming of the day I purchase an E30 M3
