Hi chaps, can't seem to find answers any where!!

So here goes, I want to put BBS Rs wheels on my e30 convertible. The plan is to have as deep dish as possible, especially on the rear end, thinking 3.5" deep dish.

Question is, is the offset that important? Because these are 3 piece wheels and I want such a deep dish, could I custom make them to fit?

In my head I'm thinking for the rears, 16x9", 3.5" lip 5.5" barrel. So if I went for like an offset 40, it should clear the strut and sit flush with the arch??

Please advise.

Many thanks

You won;t find anything in that offset in 4x100 unless they are redrilled.
The only RS wheel in 16" for the E30 is the RS003, ET25 and it possible to fit a 3£ dish on the rear, but you can't go low on the suspension.
These are mine

Aweosme looking wheels buddy... :D

Right so, If the ET is 25 I can fit 9" wheels on the rear with a 3" lip but not a 3.5" lip...is that right??

If I go for the ET40 redrilled setup il need spacers right? Is that because the rear of the face will catch the brakes?? Or will the outside of the inner barrel catch the strut?

My mate has offered me his bbs rs 15"x8 ET16 fronts and 15x9 ET03 for the rears... the lips 3.5" on them as well?? What are your thoughts on that fit?

Thanks so much pal...really appreciate it!! Also do you know anyone in midlands who will fill and redrill wheels. Cheers pal

They'll fit without the need for any spacers front and back.
ET40, you'll need about a 10mm spacer, but if you're going that far, just get 18mm adaptors, BUT, this will reduce the size of the lip on the wheel.

Cheers Rav,

See I test fitted the rear 15x9 et03 wheels to the e30...

The lip stuck out like an inch past the arch?! I always thought that the 9" wheels would sit flush on the rears??

I have also had my rear arches replaced. My cars a cabby but the arches were new moulds off of a tourer or coupe I think? Would this now make the rear arches narrower??

Thanks pal

Did you have the car on the floor when you test fitted?
Ideally, 9j needs to be about ET15

It'll work, as the rear arm swings in when it's on the floor

Jumping on an old thread, but looking at selling a set of RS003s, but hard to find another set for sale to price point at. Condition is about 8/10 with zero gutter rash. They are 16x7 ET25 4x100. What are these worth roughly? Have almost new tyres on too.
