This left hand drive 318iS sold for $25,500 dollars, in pounds £20,600. Wow I'm shocked the car has sold for this much!!!!

Yeah looking at it now from your point your right, the 325i sport & M3 have climbed up in value and now it's the 318iS's turn, fair play to the owner, it will just go up in value if they maintain the condition of the car.
