Hi there chaps,

I will be haveing a 2.8ltr engine put into my e30.

Question I have is, do I keep my original 2.5ltr engine and auto box or scrap them?

I'm just thinking, will th y one day be worth something?

What are they worth now?

Cheers guys

Why would you scrap it? These engines are getting thin on the ground and will only keep rising in value.

Not many for sale these days, I only got myself a spare recently. I'd stick it indoors, turn it over occasionally and watch it appreciate. In the future, matching numbers will add a lot of value in my opinion. It adds value now for a clean car.

If you are going to sell it, keep the sump, easy broken and also getting harder to come across.
