Looks promising... I take it an engine is fitted, judging by the ride height; 2.3 or 2.5-litre?

i was 'reading between the lines' of something someone posted on another forum...
so i sent him an email. turns out my hunch was right....and the rest is history 8)

yep, 2.3
Cypriotgeeza wrote:Why can I never find these barns with cars stashed in them?!
this 'barn' had about 50 cars in it. there was another e30 m3, e30 sport, a couple of 'normal' e30's, several 911's, and some vag stuff....
Brianmoooore wrote:And how much of it is missing?
its 99.9% complete

s63...maybe.....
i've got a few other financial commitments for the next 9 months or so, so engine choice for this one is a little way off yet.
i'll be busy with the body resto for quite a while yet.
s63's with gearboxes are still up around £15k at the moment. i'll see how funds are looking when the time comes. if i can stretch, an s63 it will be. otherwise it may end up being an s65.

Ive completely stripped and rebuilt an N63* and will be interesting to see how you get on with bulkhead clearance as the turbos and in the V and the down pipes run down the back of the heads and around the bell housing.

*The non M power twin turbo V8 from the 550i/650i but basically the same thing

i knew about the exhaust routing,
but i wouldn't be needing the cats...
and also the first part of the downpipes are twin walled like the s62 manifolds.
removing the outer wall and using heat wrap should free up some space.
i think i should have a bit more room than i did with the v12.....'as he crosses his fingers' !

This is going to be epic, that F10 M5 I had a little 'traffic light grand prix' with on the way to Gaydon last year is the only car I have come across that put up a decent fight against the V10 M3, losing 3/4 of a ton and using a dct box will be worth the effort :D
