E30 Cabriolet door lock

Hi,

I have central locking on my car but when I lock the drivers door the passenger door doesn't lock. If I turn the key from neutral to the lock position a few times it seems to go down.

Any ideas on where to start with troubleshooting.

Lubricate the linkage, adjust the position of the lock motor position and replace the L shaped alloy piece on the back end of the lock barrel, which is only available as part of a lock repair kit. If you're into bodging, you can clean up any wear ridges on the alloy piece, and squeeze the steel fork that engages with it together a small amount.
