Well things are moving slowly but in the right direction.
What I have been chewing over is the black paint which I was not going to do but I can have that Black Hard Annodised at no extra cost. This is a very hard and durable coating which needs very little looking after and with the Ally polished will look splendid, but will take a little longer because we have to sub this out.

Now, lets say that I can have these to your door (UK) for @ £60 and overseas just the extra postage, and if I can make it happen cheaper then so be it !!

Could someone start a list so I know roughly how many I should start with please?

Also which country you are in.

Many thanks Mart.

Hi.

Now in the morning the lovely Claudia will be drawing up the badge and from then on we can push forward for a slot in production. We are a small company and don't wish to brass off our customers but we are quite flexible too so I`m looking forward to seeing the model and also the end result hopefully within a week :D
I know this takes time but all will be worth the wait .

Brilliant mate, thanks for that.
I intend to have a small upstand along the back with tapped holes in so it can be fastened to the grill with small bolts. The badge will be of solid metal and will not bend, unless your hand fisted.

If you want better pics let me know. I didn't have to take the one off m car. I have new Hartge front plates that I bought years ago. I just can't find them. The front plates are made of aluminum. Alpina made their front plates of plastic.
You can email me for more pics.

I`ve made two blanks which show the fastening detail which is behind the badge and will have two 6mm tapped holes into which the badge can be fastened to the front grille with a plate at the rear of the grille . This makes it secure and virtually out of sight.
All programing is now done and I am ready to go ....I just need a slot .....or .....should I bribe them???

That looks very good indeed! I can load a pic of an original badge tmrw for comparison!

I think the "R" and "T" over the stripes need a little work but as it stands it look superb!

Good work so far!

Thanks for organising this!!!

can i just add that this is amazing work!! i have ben watching with interest although i do not own a hartge, i know how hard these things are...i wish i had your resources!

i don't know if it just how it is made, but if it helps,

the gaps in the H are squarer in the original on both sides.
the corners of the left side of the "hole" of the A should be square and the same with the E

perhaps Raul can answer if the cutout on the right side of the R should have paint behind it. it does not seem so from his photo but would be good to confirm

to be honest, if this was away from an original, then there would be no issue as it is so close. to get to this stage is stunning already!!! well done mate :D

Hi and thank you for the kind and very useful comments.
Having read and understood what has been said, I can put it down to one very small culprit !!!
It is the 1mm diameter cutter that started to finish the profile which gave up the ghost and I basically ran out of time .You will not notice a 0.5mm radius in the corners.
I needed to show you something this weekend so you could decide if you wanted to order one so I can sort a price out with the owners at work.
I sorted most of the machining program out on Friday so I know both the front and back programs work well and I will speak to the lovely Claudia and develop it a touch more.
A few people have asked me what I actually do ....well I work with a small team ,@30 guy`s who are precision engineers but mainly concentrate in "bespoke " medical instruments. So be kind to me

These badges are very very strong but will come without paint as I don't know enough about painting to make the coting last long enough.

Any more comments are more than welcome guy`s, and as of next week, I will start a new thread with a price delivered (uk) but I will also ship around the world without a problem but it may cost a touch more.

Many thanks for your time.

Mart.
