320i exhaust
Moderator: martauto
ECP used to stock Eberspacher, whom are an OE BMW supplier. They used to have two different options for the facelift 320i's with a twin exhaust. Not sure about the single exhaust pre-facelifts.
Unfortunately, they don't appear to be stocking them on the ECP website anymore and only list Klarius/Timax rubbish. I put a Timax on my old E36 316i and it was garbage - completely shot by 2 years of age. Never again.
BMW's own exhausts are fantastic and will last the best part of 20 years but are priced accordingly. My 320i is now on its 3rd silencer - the original lasted 18.5 years, the Walker replacement somehow lasted 7 which was a surprise. Its now sporting one I bought from Mick/Magpie on here. No idea of the make but its been on it 2 years and is lasting well - sounds good and simply refuses to rust (so far!).

given the costs of a new descent set up you may as well look at having a ss one made...thats my plan when mine finally dies.

I'll take a genuine BMW silencer over a egg shell thin, reverberating stainless effort any day.

BMW exhausts have always been the best quality. My E32 had the original '89 full system until 2006 and after pissing around with Walker rubbish I bit the pillow and bought a new gen centre and rear section, still fine after 9 years. Modt E39's and E46's etc are still on the originals as well.
Many E36's as well and they are pushing 20+/- years.Andyboy wrote:BMW exhausts have always been the best quality.
