325i motorsport
Moderator: martauto
my sebring grey motosport had a electric roof not electro hydro roof, the car was broken for spares on the forum a couple of years ago, i sold the complete interior to "bmw-mad" of this forum, i believe he has the interior on a colypso red cab, i still have the kitbss325i wrote:Thats not a genuine motorsport interior. The only convertibles that had black leather seats with M sport stripes on the corner of each seat were M3's.
The second batch of Motorsport convertibles which were Nagaro silver or Macau blue had the same style of interior but in silver grey leather.
The car in question, being a H reg it should be Sebring grey with Black bubble leather with black leather door cards and centre consoles and an electro hydraulic roof if its a genuine Motorsport.
Exactly the same as this one for sale.

IIRC the chancer selling this car had it listed up for £24,995 previously on Pistonheads.
Non-Motorsport interior, which looks really really worn and scruffy, polished with cockpit-shine.
Really dirty engine bay, which makes you question how well the current owner takes care of the car.
Slammed on cheap nasty springs.
The car was discussed on here when someone put up a link to the advert, but I can't find the thread now.

Got my BMW technician to check vin .it was just a 325i .I told guy this I think he knew trying it on.we will see if he relists on same description .now looking at 325i on piston heads red one from v.I.p cars none sport but all kit full history on a j plate and 80 k miles 4 owners more than I wanted to pay but I think safer with dealer and comes with 2 years unlimited warranty .safer from a dealer I think .take a look guys see what you think of that one ta peeps
Sorry, I was taking the piss out of the Classic and Sportscar's site, as the classifieds are just PH's!bss325i wrote:And me too!willnz wrote:Links me directly to the ad.Rodderz wrote: That just links to PH's classifieds
He has only gone and re advertised on piston heads please stay clear ta all.oh and my previous post on red 325i it is Motorsport one of 25 in that color dealer had all proof of paperwork from main dealer .just put grand deposit on lol .

That's interesting as every bubble leather motorsport I've seen has had the EH roof.bmwbmwbmw wrote:my sebring grey motosport had a electric roof not electro hydro roof, the car was broken for spares on the forum a couple of years ago, i sold the complete interior to "bmw-mad" of this forum, i believe he has the interior on a colypso red cab, i still have the kit
None of my motorsport convertibles said 'mototsport' on the log book, but 325i Cabriolet, you need to run the VIN through BMW and if it is a genuine motorsport car from this batch it will come up with code 785, meaning it had nappa tex interior (bubble leather to you and me) which was unique to this batch and not an option on your average e30 convertible.
Did that today from my BMW technician and it was a 325i convertible that's all .as stated previously I have now pulled out but put deposit on a car from v.I.p cars on piston heads red 325i only 25 made in calypso red all paperwork verified by b.m.w pick up on 10 the October can't wait .if anyone wants to see it take a look on there web site over 40 pics..thanks all for your very informative posts .
Blimey fal . hopefully you took care of it..if you look on piston heads look at 325i Motorsport in calypso red . up for sale with VIP cars 14 k go on there web loads of pics .pick that up in 2 weeks more than I wanted to pay but only 25 in that color made so bargain I think .
Lol Elf, small world, that calypso cab was one of mine years ago, I shall dig some old photos out, same last 3 digits, I'm unsure of the full plate, I sold it for £4200, prices are on the up, luckily I still have a Motorsport tucked away.
No, the last batch which were either Mauritius blue or calypso red with lotus white leather were full facelift cabrios.
Hi fal .yes small world be good if you can dig old pics out .how funny you got my car and I am buying one you owned...just an update on rest of post ..the guy phoned me yesterday saying he has confirmation from BMW that this is a Motorsport ..if that's the case I apologise and good luck with the sale ..it just wasn't for me .
It was me that posted the original thread, but it does seem to have vanished?? Maybe the guy saw it (whilst waiting for his £80k new car to arrive) and complained to a mod? Weird..German-Whips wrote:IIRC the chancer selling this car had it listed up for £24,995 previously on Pistonheads.

So what price range do Motorsport convertibles fetch these days ?
Are many of them manual ?
I've always liked them.

I actually spoke to BMW and checked with them using the vin. The car is a motorsport. When I spoke to them - they could only really confirm less than half a dozen services, 2/3 iirc.
It DOES NOT HAVE A FULL SERVICE HISTORY.
Has had lots of owners!
I would personally avoid this car! Blatantly one which has had a shady past!

You mean it does not have full DEALER service history. There is a difference, and the statement that it has full service history may well be true.
I'm guessing many owners opt out of the dealer services as a car gets older. Cabbies generally tend to have a high turnover of owners, which could explain the sparse number of dealer stamps?
I wouldn't buy this for many other reasons, not just the service history part.

The number of owners is a little too high for my liking. It's been pointed out that the interior is wrong, and I don't know what is used on the leather to give it that high gloss finish, but it's not nice. The mileage is too high. Roof looks like it will need replacing at some point. Rear lights? It's sitting very low.
The colour is superb though.

I think someone who doesn't know e30, s will buy this..and I thank all you guys for previous posts...the car I've now brought in show car section .has all m.o.ts states on first purchase receipt what it is .full history stamped and I am 5 the owner .yes I paid more .but if I brought this one to get it too original would have cost way more .
