The one's you're highlighting aren't your run of the mill SQM26's found in most German cars.. these are high end and were found in 911's etc. Therefore when your well-to-do types are carrying out a 911 resto, like us paupers would an E30 one.. they will pay top price for the original stereo system. Although granted they are pricey, you can't compare a mint woodstock 88 to the rest of the cheap toot on eBay.

I know it was an option but what kind of flid would cheap out and buy a 320i and option up on 4/5k's worth of audio

You will get people who list things not knowing their worth.. I've picked up boxed unused ones for cheap money.. because people think they're worthless.

That's of course unless yours were battered and scraped, then you probably got them because no one else wanted them

They (and others at them prices) have had them listed forever, trouble is joe blogs finds one to sell then looks up eBay prices sees them, then thinks his ones worth that so asks the same
