I didn't notice the inner lights were sided, I just replaced a cracked one .... took a step back to admire my work and noticed the lines on the lens were horizontal not vertical

oh well, I've got spares so I'll have to swap it over again.

I'm guessing this will fail an MOT due to direction/beam pattern or is it not the case with full beam?

As long as they are a matching pair, they both light, and the blue light in the cluster works, the MOT tester won't be interested in them, but in the interests of seeing where you're going at night, it'll be a good idea to sort them out.

Right, swapped it over now. thankfully I had a couple of sets of spare lights and parts so was able to get the right sided one and just about made up enough good clips/fixings. Last thing I wanted to do really was risk snapping clips by taking it apart again but I got away with it.

Four good lenses and all bulbs working :D ready for MOT in the morning. Hopefully the alignment is OK.
