Were Tech 1 steering wheels only an option on Tech 1 era cars? Therefore not to be found on anything around 1990?

Tech 1 wheels were standard fit on 318iS's so up to '91 on those.

Yes an option on anything.

Even early tech2 325i sports had a tech 1 steering wheel.

So an option on a 1990 special equipment 320i

What's your thoughts on this one Barry.. pricey, but how about the detail?

That re-trim is nasty :(


Some NOS appears from time to time, I'd hold out for something like that.

I'm more concerned about how the new leather meets the centre & covers the "gaps" that make it clear it's a 370mm. The stitching is also nasty.

One appeared on German fleabay a number of months ago, new in box. :wan:


I'll keep an eye out, I'm normally on German Flea bay. :thumb:
