Autoglym leather balm. Mines in very good nick for its age so only needs a quick treatment once or twice a year a˜€

Fitted a new clutch, prop doughnut, coupling, pilot bearing and selector shaft seal. Bled the system using the reverse method off the front caliper.

Took 2 of us all of the day which included a trip to BMW and the local shop for 6 new cap head bolts to hold on the clutch plate!

Wouldn't want to do it again led on the driveway under ramps and axle stands.

Adjusted the valve clearance, that annoying ticking which I thought may have been a split manifold or snapped stud has gone, RESULT!

Got the Cabby's cambelt changed, along with the water pump and full service.

Every thing went very well and she's purring like a kitten.

Flew through the MOT without any advisories, so going to put a ticket on it tomorrow.

Mechanic showed me around the underneath and was amazed at its magnificent condition. It's missing a few patches of underseal, so I'll get that done in due course.

I covered a total of 61 miles since its last MOT.

Well pleased, but not at the bill :(

:D

Today mine past its MOT but I also came to the realisation that it could do with a new top end!

Its going to be a money pit, just glad I didn't pay too much for it.

The worst part is putting it away! :( I wish it was 20 years ago and I could afford to run mine as a daily!

I had mine done at Carhood Warehouse two weeks ago (very impressed with how they work), so now the roof doesn't let down the rest of the car. :D

shopping for rear suspension. my 325i cab has a weeping rear shock and one side is starting to sink. it has the sports suspension factory option but i think all the shockers are the same. i hunting a pair of Bilstein B4's or Boge Turbos, just looking for the best deal, i'm off the road in the warmest weather we've had for months. the car park slopes to the right so parking it this way round is equalising the stance.

Looks a bit brighter in the picture than in the flesh...was in 2 minds about getting a red roof but I think it works...not to every ones taste I know but what I might do is buy another frame and have a black in as spare or when I get bored with the red one.

Start work on the interior next week...hopefully get it done within 2 weeks...

A weeping shock absorber will not affect the ride height.
