front valance and mot

dont know if ive posted in the right place but does anyone know if the car needs the front valance on for an mot. ive took mine off to repair the 2 rust holes where the valance meets the arch/ maybe replace the valance but wanted to get it in for an mot seems as im off all week. so would they want the valance on for the mot?

The bit of the test referring to sharp edges and their danger to pedestrians is where you might come unstuck, but will be OK if you cover them.

yeah. read somewhere else about sharp edges, it was more the fact if it wasnt there. i suppose the other areas the valance covers would be considered sharp. i'll go with replacing the valance i think. would mean getting my brother to weld a new corner each end of the valance and that would be a whenever time scale.
