As far as i can tell by looking at the classifieds on Pistonheads & Carandclassic, the convertible is worth more and would probably be a better financial investment.

I disagree. The only thing I will say is that so many convertibles have been molested that the values of the VERY few nice original low mileage cars left can only increase . Obviously, this applies to all E30s, even 316 quattroportes ! :eek:

You're probably correct, definitely on convertibles being worth more in standard form. Check out this beaut...
