Anyone used these? Looks like it could make life alot easier than someone helping pumping the pedal or the other systems that work off the resevior?
I've got a compressor air line, this would be ok on say e30,e34,e36 and maybe e46?

Brilliant if you have the pressure and air supply from your compressorSimon13 wrote:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-VS020- ... 1c49ff924b

the easibleeds are just a valve, so you have to keep pumping the pedal, then checking fluid etc.
The one Simon linked just pulls a vacuum so you haven't got to keep jumping in and out the car. I used to have one, made it loads easier to do a brake fluid change. Especially working on a 2 post ramp getting in and out.

Had an ezibleed for years and served me well
This one would do the job i have one and its only £3.38 delivered and you dont need an airline and its a one man job also.

I don't pump the pedal. It's pressure on the master cyl reservoir - just open a bleed nipple and out it comes. That's the whole idea of it!maxfield wrote:the easibleeds are just a valve, so you have to keep pumping the pedal, then checking fluid etc.

My bad, I had an 'easibleed' all it was, was a bottle with a 1 way valve in that just stopped air going back in, you had to pump the pedal.
Each to there own, I always found it effortless with my vacuum pump.

Gets my vote too, never had one before, but bought one to bleed up the clutch on my Touring, excellent bit of kit.Andyboy wrote:Gunsons easibleed, 20 quid from Halfords. Job done!

Used an eze bleed the other day for the first time as all the lines were new and dry. Actually worked really well.
Had to give them a little pump/manual bleed just to get the last of the air out of the calipers but that was all, very little hassle.

Another thumbs up for the Eezibleed. Was having a nightmare bleeding my full WMS kit with help, Eezibleed had it done in a matter of minutes on my own, wish I'd bought one years ago!

Snapped a bit of plastic, they sent me a replacement and it's still never been used.... might stick it up for sale actually to fund the car repair!

Also, one way speed bleeders are pretty good kit too. Have them on my front calipers so in theory I don't even need a one way valve, just turn 1/4 turn attach some tubing and pump brakes into the bottle of fluid.

Another one for eezibleed, simple piece of kit but works perfect every time without the need for any help.
We have one of the vacuum ones at work, its a snapon we have and its utter shait in kind words, we've never been able to get it to work. but we have a pressure bleeder, one you pump up at the resevoir and thats brilliant! not sure on make though.

I'm another one that gets on well with the Gunsons kit. Normally, I don't even bother with the bottle - I just fill the reservoir to the start before I start, and connect the appropriate Gunsons cap straight to the workshop air line via a pressure reducer turned right down to 3 - 4 psi.

Its an old F1 bleeder, it basically drains and drys the brake system, then pumps in new fresh fluid. Its pretty neat as it does both sides of multi piston callipers as well as front and rear circuits at the same time, makes bleeding a joy! No messing, all dry break fittings (calliper dependant).
Heres a better photo.

I have the Eezibleed too and it works well but might buy that one in Simons link as it will work well on the bikes. Bike brakes can be a right cunt to bleed from dry.

It's good as it shows that vacuum type bleeders are very much ok!
I have an electric pressure bleeder which runs at about 1-3 bar depending on what you set it to. It's identical to one used in BMW dealers and a pressure one is what's required to bleed DSC units on later stuff and they are often being replaced or repaired on modern turds.
I'll take a pic tomorrow but it's no where near as impressive a Andrews bit of kit!

Same here Baz, regulated pressure and vacuum, instructions say to run it at 50psi.

Vacuum at 27"Hg

I think that 50psi of pressure is a little high for our older cars where the reservoir is not locked down.
