Hi, I think I've got some kind of air leak somewhere on my '89 325is as I've got an intermittent hunting problem.
When the car is sat idling it randomly starts revving from approx 700 to 1500rpm

Any ideas anyone ?

if its an air leak it's probably on the rubber boot before the throttle body. if not check here:
