help again please

o.k so my beemer just died on me again, the fuel pump isn't priming. please can one of you gentlemen please instruct me on how to get the back seat up and how to check the connection and also what tools i need to do this, complete novice here, thanks in advance, off to calm down

Seat base just pulls up at the front. Pull about 6 inches in from each end.
Pump is under the oval black plate on the RH side.
Pull of the two pin plug and connect a 12 volt bulb to the plug. Crank the engine with the ignition on, and the bulb should light. If it doesn't, check fuse 11.
If fuse 11 has blown, and the bulb lights when you replace it, then both of the above indicate a duff fuel pump.
Alternatively, pull out the orange fuel pump relay (can't tell you where it is, 'cause you haven't told me what car you have!), link together pins 30 and 87 of it's base, and the pump should run continuously and be easily heard without the engine running.
