Is it just me who get's this? I cannot go a week without someone asking to buy my car! Sometimes twice a week.

I've had people come into my workplace asking who owns the BMW. I've had bikers come up to me in traffic asking if I want to sell. My favorite was when me and the mrs was driving down the M25 doing like 80mph, and someone starting tooting their horn, sped up to the side of me and gestured a money sign with his hand while pointing at my car.

Reason I ask is I came out of my house earlier today and noticed something stuck to my window, thinking it was a parking ticket! (I live in London, where it's hard to even park outside your own house).. Tonight when I went closer to inspect i noticed it's a note asking me to sell my car and leaving contact details.

It was a bit of a novelty at first, but these days I'm starting to feel harassed

It's an auto 320i.. so to zone members it's not the sought after spec, but I suppose because it's so clean it's easy on the eye.

I've just realised this might come across as me bragging lol.. but genuinely I thought this might be something that everyone gets.. a hazard of owning an E30 maybe.

I guess not then, so I'ma shut up before everyone thinks I'm a twat. famous last words. :)

Happens every so often. In fact on Sunday just gone at a local classic meet, my o/h was sat in the touring and one guy asked twice if the car was for sale. And then came back 20mins later when I was there and asked again.

The touring is nothing special, but it shows what a wash and wax can do :D

Its all part of owning an E30 lol,

When I lived in mablethorpe (yeah yeah I know, I'll get my coat) I had this one guy turn up 17 times in two months asking to buy my sport,

After the 3rd time I told that the price would go up each time to came knocking & yet he still came asking.

I wonder if he bought one??

Mate of my mine has an A reg Audi 80 Sport, pretty much mint, but 130k, keeps asking if I'll swap my 1990 G 320i SE for it.
Mines done 61k, so I'm a bit.... unsure.
Admitted mine needs a full service (I've got all the fluids, filters, plugs etc), new discs & pads (got those too) and a set of tyres (it's been sat SORN for 2 years), and his needs nothing but I'm not convinced at the moment.
Mind you, he has an Audi 90 Quattro with a 2.2 ur engine conversion, which I'd wouldn't mind.....

Funny....every time I go out (not frequent) I tend to get 2-3 comments / offers to buy. My friends make regular comments about owning a dude magnet...

In NZ (about 7 years ago) hardly had any. Not sure if it's a sign of the time or the country!

It happens to me a lot and has done since i bought my sport 8 years ago!

I picked up a 318i today and the woman i bought it from who has owned it 20 years said it was a man magnet because she was always being asked to sell it.

Last time I was out in my sport (about a year ago) I got talking to a guy at the garage who said he was looking for something like an E30 as it was RWD, had plenty of parts out there & was a dam sight cheaper than a mk2 escort, better built, nicer to drive & not as common.

He then went on to ask that if I was to sell how much would I want, well his face dropped when I told him A1 sports (top spec, very well looked after) where above £5K+,

Saw him a while back & he'd got himself a 325ise & was raving about it but said he was getting fed up with folk asking how much he wanted for it, told him it comes with owning one lol.

That's the thing, I've never gone as far as prices, so they probably all want to offer £500 or something stupid like that

Yes this is often what happens. I get people asking all of the time but i just say what do you think the car is worth?? and then they just give silly offers.

I wasn't either, mate, but when you're told "people tell me I could be a page 3 model", I was rather intrigued. Unfortunately, she was a model in her own head!

Page 3 of Plus Size Beauties, she must have forget to tell you that she was also on page 4, 5 and 6 at the same time :D
Looked like she'd eaten 4,5, or 6 page three models to be honest! :(
