i recently bought a set of phat 16x8.5" BBS rims with 245/45/16 Dunlop SP Sports for my wifes E34 525i sport (damn good for Ԛ£132!!!! :D ) but they've lost their centre caps.

they're not marked BMW anywhere so i assume they're not BMW OEM jobbies. thay have the following markings:
394ET13 (meaning ET13?)
KBA41762
8.5J16H2

Image

the centre caps need to be Ø170mm, the raised centre 'ring' on the wheels is Ø70 OD and Ø60 ID.

any ideas what they're from? or how to find replacement centre caps?

they are really quite phat and very very rude! I love them. My guess is a centre cap of a 15inch bbs rim will fit. Ask someone who u know who has them and see!

Will take 2 secs!

maybe a 15" E30 one might...

i tried the plastic one from the OE E34 sport 15" rim and they didn't fit. the centre clip part was too big and the overall dimater was 165mm, not 170mm... :(

the E30 ones are aluminium though so may be right...

If i'd have thought about it i could've brought down a centre cap from my E30.......

If you haven't found any in a couple of weeks time let me know and i'll bring one down then!!

yup an ebay bargain!!! thay would look the mutts on a E30 but with 8.5 inches wide and ET13 i suspect they would poke out a long way! would be sweeeet though.

it's amazing how much it transformed the car... the handling is a huge amount better and it now has so much presence on the road... so mean! anyway, this is what it looked like before:

i love the way E34 sport bits are so much cheaper... i just picked up a mint scorpion exhaust for it for Ԛ£45!!!! :D they just don't have the same following that the E30 has. it's every bit as quick as my 325i (til the M30 goes in winkeye ) and handles as well too.

the whole car (genuine 525i sport) was onlt Ԛ£1k with full mot, fbmwsh, , 120000 miles, mint leather recaros, all the toys, 189bhp M50, lsd, and it's miiiint!

beats a MPV any day :thumb:

Just searched the ETK can't find those wheels on there anywhere but from what i can see the hubcaps you need are the e30 171mm ones 36 13 2 225 376

i've measured up one of my hubcaps and the centre ring will fit your wheels so i'm 99% sure they are the ones you need.

They look fab Gareth! The dish makes such a difference, my M535i has 16.3 inch metric rims with 240 section tyres, but they don't look a patch on those!

however your 325i should be a bit quicker than a 525i i'd have thought, even though the e34 is 24V. e34s are heavy!

did i say i love those wheels?

A1BMW325iSport, cheers for that, i'll try some next time i go to a meet or something...

toby, the difference is tiny. the E30 is better in the swisty stuff and at lower speeds but the E34 just revs so well and is better at the top end.

just had a bit more luck, got some more nice 16" wheels for free on my engine donor!!!
