I bought this spoiler, sight unseen from a zoner, who I believe
to be a honest seller. The base and studs are missing and I was never informed about this.
The price of the spoiler was £40 and I'd like to know if this is
the going rate for a Tech 2 spoiler in this condition.

There isn't a lot of interest in these on their own and there are loads about so it's difficult to price unlike mtec 1 spoilers

if that lower part is hollow then it's not genuine , a real one is worth around £50 maybe more .

This spoiler is as light as a feather, I told the seller it's a replica but he insists it's OEM.

Paid dearly and it was damaged in transit. I'm hoping the seller does the right thing so I don't have to disclose his identity.

Real ones weigh a ton. I have a genuine missing the studs and in need of a tidy up I would let go for £40, but isn't of much help to you!
Name and shame them

He bought this from myself! I am not a con artist! If yous speak to other people who have just purchased from myself breaking the 325 you will see this! I was unaware it was a rep. It was on my e30 when I bought it and I removed it before building it. I was unaware that it was a rep. When I wrapped the spoiler up to send it it hAd no damage on it. I would have no issues placing a refund if I had arranged the courier as I could claim back off them for damaging the item. However the buyer arranged that. So it can be taken up with his courier to try and resolve the damage first of all to see what refund can be given from them. And as I have told him we will take it from there. There is no need for people to jump to conclusions or to slate myself over this. As said if it wasn't damaged in transit the refund would be happily paid by now.

As for me being snide that is not the case atall which can be found out by talking to other zoners that recently made purchases such as the trader Z3I that bought my interior and met me in person also the guy who bought my tech 2 kit who posted on my forsale thread and the guy who bought my rear trailing arms and others.
Thanks Alan

The point is, you sold a replica spoiler at OEM prices. The damage incurred during shipment is irrelevant!
Your spoiler is NOT worth £40 and you should issue me a refund based on the value of
a replica M Tech 2 spoiler in good condition.(£10-£15)
STOP going on about couriers and damage.

dont normally get involved in these sort of things but i agree the seller should refund the buyer some money (not all) for selling a non genuine item. its irrelevant what happened in shipping

As I've said this problem could be resolved between ourselfs without you slating me. Money refunded however this should still be taking up with courier as regardless on what it is or what the cost is or where it came from or went it shouldn't of got broken and I'm sure a company such as UPS wil compensate you on this!

Alan has given me a full refund, and I've sent him back £20, so I consider the matter
resolved. Thanks for your support guys.

I'd agree at this being resolved. Still don't agree at yourselfs posting stating I'm snide etc when yous don't really know the situation or myself.

I think snide was referring to the item not yourself.
The problem seems resolved now I think it's best just to chalk it up as experience

Totally Agree. I was unaware that it was not a genuine spoiler. Which has been apologised for etc. And me and Richard have sorted it out he had also purchased other items from myself recently which were fine so I see his disappointment when he has then paid for z item and it's not been legit.
