Does anyone know much about these wheels? Do they compare to BBS for weight / build quality?

I bought a set 2-3 years ago on ebay, finally gave one a test fitting at the weekend before buying tyres. They were advertised as BBS, but after removing a centre cap it appears not to be! Although they are stamped with BMW...
They are 8J x 16 and I believe ET23.
