Kind of forgot about this but also have not really seen the lad in a while and when i have i didnt get any pics .anyway Mike has finished with this now so now it goes back to its owner for him to do with what he likes, Last time i went to see mike he had a guy making a new loom for it he had made a cage for inside and it was running and driving ..it now has glass and other posh bits ..this was never supposed to be pretty and smooth on the outside and it is very much a 2 fingers up at the enthusiast owners club types. The fabrication work is hellish and under all that exterior is my poor old e30 cab getting a new lease of life

I notice in your photo link that the bonnet, although unpainted, appears very shiny - has he lacquered it?

He did a few years back he had a vw caddy that was bare metal and it had the same and looked quite good in person .the guy give mike free reign on the car but i suspect it might get painted tbh when the owner gets it back .

Certainly a good use of a battered old bodyshell.

Probably drives better than the real thing too!
