hi again, just a quick question. : as rear bumpers on the cab and touring are longer does that mean that they are directly interchangeable? I know saloon ones wont fit a cab but as I am after a cab one I need to know what to look for.
thanks

bumpers are the same on all models (pre/post facelift) with the exception of the m3.

M40 rightness if you can get to 6000rpm noone can hear your tappets
Touring bumpers are the same as facelift saloon ones, it's just the cab which is the odd one out. I think the metal cab bumpers are the same as the metal saloon ones, ( there were no metal bumper tourings )
The cabs kept the early style bumpers until a long while after the saloons were face lifted and the touring was introduced.
A later, facelift saloon/ touring plastic bumper won't fit an early cab. Not sure what bumpers went on the very late face lifted cabs.

After the facelift, cabs had exactly the same bumpers as tourings and saloons. Far better looking car than the earlier ones.
