Need some help lads to identify this mysterious engine.
Right the head has the following numbers

The bottom end has the following numbers

Need help to identify a engine 2.5 or 2.7 :-/

Its a low comp 8.8:1 cat prepped M20B25 engine from a post '88 car.

As others have decoded, the key part is the "25 6k 1" part.
This means 2.5 litre, 6-cylinder, designed for Katalyser (meaning low-compression).
The number that follows that is the build number for that engine.

Late M20 loom should fit.
The 2.7 stamp appeared on the head casting, along with 2.5 after the introduction of the US Super eta E30.
