Does anyone know where I could find an 'elephant trunk' for my E30 as mine has completly perished and is (as I belive) letting water into the cabin.

Cheers

They are available from the dealer, about £20 iirc. If it is missing , it will NOT be the cause of your water ingress :(

As pacer Pete says it won't be the sole cause, when I unblocked mine i refitted it with vasoline and twist it on, wont work dry. Sounds like you need to get the carpet up......

mine was doing the same, kept getting water in the footwell i done everything to stop it and was still coming in
i later found out there was a rust hole behind the sound deadening behind the fuse box and was coming in down the bulkhead
