Almost a complete rip-off of Everett's E30 Bible and the Wiki.

I'd not read anything before this and didn't think when posting that most of you have this engraved in your brains lol

Some do, some don't, just remember that the M20 is an old engine so a lot of the knowledge about it has been rattling around for three decades now, and there hasn't been a decent development (in terms of performance boosting) for aeons. Everything you could possibly want to know about making these lumps a stroker has been in the Wiki since 2008, so it was public domain five years before this book was published.

The one thing I am interested in (which this book doesn't mention) is converting the M20 to Motronic 3.1 for better throttle response and economy, but there's hardly any info out there on how to do it.

Is the standard 1.1?

It was available in 1.0, 1.1 and 1.3; the last one is the "standard".

Hasn't there been some progress by some members in the m20 development thread?

HairyScreech was working on it, but he hasn't commented on that thread for nine months, nor on the forum for three. He was also going the 3.1.1 route (different to 3.1) which adds another degree of complexity to it all.

Be interesting to see what he comes up with, if he decides to part with his knowledge :)

What about the E30 the Australian posted up, it seemed to deliver better performance than most strokers?
