Hi guys,

My cars sat on the driveway at the moment whilst I save up for it to have an overhaul. Am thinking I'm going to get some new wheels and bigger brakes too.

Had been planning on 17" BBS RS replicas - would love genuine ones but I know they'd be too expensive for my budget. However I've recently seen some particularly tasty 16" deep dish banded steel rims that I think would look cool too and a similar cost.

Has anyone got much opinion on this? From what I've read the banded steelies will need spacers and likely to need the arches rolled too - do you think I'd need to do this with the 17" BBS too? I currently have the car lowered 35/40mm on Bilstein kit (shocks and springs) which sits nicely on my deepish dish genuine 15" BBS (like the usual ones but have about a 1" dish).

Cheers,

Nick

Why aren't you considering 16" fake RS?
Why are you looking to fit bigger brakes?

Because I prefer the look of 17" BBS compared to 16" and want bigger brakes because I plan to do some further performance mods and again there's the visual appeal over standard brakes.
