Hey guys!
After a 4500 mile trip in my 325i down to Sicily and back, the generator decided to let go on the german autobahn, which has left me stranded just 300 miles from home, causing all instruments and lights to fail except the speedo and moments later the engine died.
I happen to have a 320i standing in my driveway back home, and I was wondering if the alternator from that will fit and work in my 325i that normally has the 90A one?
Thank you!

The early 320i had a 65 Amp alternator, but it should work OK on a 325i, at least temporarily until you can fit new brushes in your original.

Be aware that some M20 alternators are mounted via rubber bushes, this type require a seperate earth lead to the engine mount.
Other than this, your spare alternator should work just fine.

It's a late 320i 4 door, so hopefully it'll suffice for limping home to Denmark. Thanks Maurice!

In that case, it should be an identical 90A one to your 325i one.
