Thought as much. No rich afraid I can't weld, the arch bits won't be too bad to get done but the rear stuff would seriously put off anyone buying it. And Jim I'm not sure mate, kind of half looking forward to pulling it apart myself haha! It's easy taking stuff apart as long as I don't have to put it back together ;) my only concern would be the engine as buyer would have to take it out themselves.. Is a sweet running lump at least!
But pm me an offer and I would think about the easy option?
Thanks all above for the advice..

Serious rust near the subframe moutings.
IMO I don't think that has just appeared in the past 8 months
Maybe best as a breaker.

Too right there, when you come to look at that rear cill, to fix that to a proper safe and lasting standard you have to remove the rear beam and fuel tank, that in itself creates a lot of 'while you are there' jobs and then you get on to actually fixing/weldin it.pacerpete wrote:It is not as if it is a nice car with rust issues . RIP, it's scrap.
Sadly, at that point there is the inner rear arch (outer wheel house) inner cill and outer cill all joining together as 3 skins, even a skilled man with a welder has his work cut out so you are already looking at at least a grand to repair just those bits.
Chances are the car is hiding more surprises and the car ends up on the back of a Hiab.
She's a goner, as are most E30's

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

It never ceases to amaze me the scrap that testers put their name to !

As for the E36 318 I bought last year with a fresh ticket yet no handbrake, rear trailing arm bush having left the building and the drivers side skirt being structural as the sill was absolutely w4nkered

Alas it wasn't and I am now putting a sill and a lump (big) of floor into it
