Hi all! my e30 is in the body shop ready for paint however my mechanic cant seem to fit the side skirts properly. when the front part of the side skirt is hooked into the wing pod it leaves a large gap which carries on all the way to the end. also the angle in which it sits on the sill is not straight. I know that the coupe mtech 2 side skirts are different to the convertible ones however i also know that with a couple of modifications they should fit. i mean alot of people have done that on here? if anyone could give me any advice it would be much appreciated many thanks.

P.S it is a genuine bmw m tech 2 kit

The cab specific skirts are different to the 2 door tin top as the convertible has deeper sills, easily rectified by trimming a piece from the bottom.

side pods are the same, just cut the underside fitting area across the skirt, inch or so. so they'l hold by the clips on the upper edge of the sill

there is some useful info in the zone wiki. not sure if it mentions fitting side skirts to a convertible:
